impact of toxins on health
Microplastics
|
Now one of the leading causes of Parkinson's Disease, microplastics are particularly harmful to the physiology, as the nanoparticles are small enough to evade the blood-brain-barrier (BBB), reaching the brain and other organs only 3 days after exposure. Microplastics are found in the air due to the breakdown of non-organic compounds (such as synthetic fiber), in the food we eat, in the products we use on our skin, and various other locations. Minimizing microplastic exposure is currently a prevalent topic in the health industry, as the resulting physiological and environmental disturbances are immense. |
