I am passionate about the health of all living things, and aim to create an organic, symbiotic relationship between our bodies and the Earth. I am a mother, wife, and environmental activist.
As a lifelong athlete, food has always been a core interest of mine, and led me to start my career in New Product Development for a food company. Through sourcing eco-friendly materials and textiles from around the world, I gained insight into the worrisome health hazards present in most packaging. The sad reality of how non-recyclable and non-compostable materials end up on our land and in our oceans, particularly plastic particles, inspired me to change my career path. I studied to become an Integrative Practitioner, with a 3-year Masters in Integrative Medicine and Ayurveda. My Integrative + Ayurvedic consultations help others understand how to eat clean foods without additives. Something labeled organic does not always mean it is healthy! Wanting to broaden my impact, I chose to pursue a doctorate in Physiology to research how specific toxins affect our health and the environment. As a current PhD in Physiology student, Microplastics will be my research focus. My goal is to determine the environmental presence of Microplastics, and their effect on immune markers in brain and liver tissues. In my community, I am a Chicago Conservation Corps leader. I have studied the city’s infrastructure, focusing on water purification, recycling, waste systems, and other processes that negatively affect our everyday health. |
ABOUT WHAT I DO
The goal of my services is to enable others to take responsibility for their own health by teaching how to make cleaner choices when it comes to food and material goods.
During my initial consult, I will clarify what materials can transfer toxins to the physiology through the stomach, airways, and skin.
Level 1
Appliances, kitchenware, textiles and more can disrupt physiological processes, particularly those of the endocrine and nervous systems. I will assess these items, and provide alternative recommendations. Level 1 Food assessment includes high level analysis, where I will identify major disruptors of metabolism.
Level 2
*Includes all of Level 1
Air quality, water quality and EMF are the three major contributors to cellular health. I will test all three areas and provide feedback as to the amount of bacteria, chemicals, and electromagnetic radiation present. I will then make recommendations as to how to reduce or eliminate these pollutants. For Level 2 Consultations, I will also provide in-depth detail on food products, including how to source the best food ingredients (I.e., how to buy your organic product directly from the source - not just any organic product).
